Your Hometown Equality Advocate
The Human Rights Council of North Central Florida has been your Hometown Equality Advocate for LGBT rights since 1993 – leading the fight for Alachua County sexual orientation and gender identity protections (2013), Gainesville gender identity protections (2008), domestic partner registry (2007), domestic partner benefits for city employees (1999), and sexual orientation protections (1998). HRCNCF continues to conduct candidate questionnaires and forums to keep you informed where local candidates stand on LGBT issues..
State and Local Election News and Events
Election Day is Tuesday, November 05, 2024. The last day to Register to Vote is Monday, October 7th, 2024. Early Voting Begins: Monday, October 21, 2024, and runs daily until Sunday, November 03,2024 at various voting sites. Check the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections office for the list of all in-person voting sites. You may also order a Vote By Mail ballot by contacting the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections at 352-374-5252 or at: www.VoteAlachua.com .
Our next 8th Ave Adopt-A-Roadside cleanup will be on September 21, 2024 @ 8 am. We meet at the south-east corner parking area of Westside Park, on the corner of 8th Ave and 34th Street.
