Your Hometown Equality Advocate
The Human Rights Council of North Central Florida has been your Hometown Equality Advocate for LGBT rights since 1993 – leading the fight for Alachua County sexual orientation and gender identity protections (2013), Gainesville gender identity protections (2008), domestic partner registry (2007), domestic partner benefits for city employees (1999), and sexual orientation protections (1998). HRCNCF continues to conduct candidate questionnaires and forums to keep you informed where local candidates stand on LGBT issues..

Primary Election Day in Alachua County is on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Deadline to register or update party affiliation is July 22, 2024. Early voting runs aily from August 5-17 from 9 AM to 6 PM at various voting sites: check the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections office for the list of all in-person voting sites. You may also order a Vote By Mail ballot by contacting the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections at 352-374-5252 or at: www.VoteAlachua.com .

HRCNCF Board of Directors meets every second Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at Pride Community Center of North Central Florida, 3850 NW 83rd St., Unit 201, Gainesville, FL 32606. Everyone is welcome to attend.
